Fort Bend County's Intranet: County Wide Web
This is the proposed redesign of the county's employee-only intranet. The current intranet is plagued with buttons that don't work, navigation that only works in Internet Explorer, and a color scheme that is hard on the eyes.
The goal of the redesign is to "wow" employees and keep them coming back. To achieve that goal, I've moved dynamic information to the front page instead of burying it within the site. For example, classified ads currently are static pdfs and users must click three three links to view the ads. The proposed redesign will post ad headlines on the front page.
